Playa Arrocito: Where to Eat and Shop

One restaurant is walkable, the supermarket is six minutes by car, and the market is worth the trip. What is actually around you at Arrocito.

Eating without getting in a car

Restaurante Miramar is the closest place to eat, and it is genuinely walkable — a few minutes from the villa doors, no taxi, no driving. For a first night when you have landed, unpacked, and do not want a project, that matters more than it sounds.

Worth the short drive

• Mahalo Tiki Bar — a tiki bar on the Huatulco coast, and a good one. If the decor at Casa Color made you smile, this is the same instinct.
• Tequila Taberna y Cafe — over towards La Crucecita, and an easy pairing with an evening in town.

Both are short taxi rides. A trip into town runs around 100 pesos as of August 2026 — cheap by North American standards, though fares move, so confirm on arrival. Agreeing the price before you set off is normal and expected here rather than rude.

Groceries and stocking up

Both condos have full kitchens, and plenty of guests cook half their meals. Chedraui is the large supermarket — 3.8 km away, about a 6-minute drive — and it is the place for a proper shop.

If you are arriving late, stop there on the way in from the airport rather than heading back out once you have settled.

The market in La Crucecita

For produce, La Crucecita’s market is roughly a 7-minute drive away and better than a supermarket for fruit, vegetables and anything local. It is also the more interesting errand of the two.

One practical note

Drinking water comes in garrafones — the big refillable bottles — rather than from the tap, which is normal across Mexico. Ask us and we will make sure you know where to get one refilled.
